Making Music On the Road to the Blues

“Making Music” is about my rediscovery of music and especially about the joys and challenges of making music. Everything changed when I took my first guitar lesson on Wednesday, June 25, 2008. This blog describes my ongoing efforts to learn how to play blues on electric  guitar.

I’ve loved listening to blues and related music since I was a teenager, but before this I never took seriously the possibility that I might be able to learn how to play blues. My biggest hope for this blog is that it will encourage others to hear the call of whatever music they love and begin learning how to make music.
