{"id":236,"date":"2010-08-05T23:30:38","date_gmt":"2010-08-06T04:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/byronleonard.com\/blog\/?p=236"},"modified":"2010-08-16T14:15:10","modified_gmt":"2010-08-16T19:15:10","slug":"harlem-avenue-lounge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/byronleonard.com\/blog\/?p=236","title":{"rendered":"Harlem Avenue Lounge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>August Lordy of <a title=\"Chicago Blues Beat - Guide to Live Chicago Blues\" href=\"http:\/\/chicagobluesbeat.com\/default.aspx\">ChicagoBluesBeat.com<\/a> told me a few months ago that the <a title=\"Harlem Avenue Lounge, Berwyn, IL\" href=\"http:\/\/www.harlemavenuelounge.com\/\">Harlem Avenue Lounge<\/a> was one of his favorite Chicagoland blues clubs. It&#8217;s just a few minutes from my house, but I just now made it there for the first time. I\u2019ve driven by it a number of times, but I&#8217;m not sure I even noticed it. It\u2019s not inviting from the outside. I couldn\u2019t imagine getting up there myself in the near future, certainly not before I\u2019d played for a while with other musicians.
